According to sales figures released by Famitsu publisher Enterbrain, The Xbox 360 has sold over 1 million units in Japan since its launch in the region on December 11, 2005. The original Xbox only managed to move about 470,000 units during its lifetime in Japan.

Enterbrain also revealed that the PS3 has now sold over 3 million units in Japan since its launch on November 11, 2006.

Wii sales figures were not released.
